House built for our widow.

 We here at The Widows Empowerment Initiative for Africa are absolutely amazed to announce the launch of a house we financed and built in Africa for some of our widows here. We have built a wonderful new house in Logos, Nigeria for a widow and her children so that they can finally have a safe and secure home to live in after the loss of their husband. After living in the slum area of the Badagry community in Nigeria, our Coordinator and volunteers decided that some of the widows there needed our assistance in finding a new place to live in that is safe.

We raised £6000 to support 20 of our widows in Africa by getting new homes and on the 24th of October 2021 we opened an entirely new home that we built for one of our widows and her four children. She was delighted to have a new home to live in and was overjoyed with the result of our hard work. Many of our widows in Africa are in need of new homes and additional support as they have lost so much since the death of their husbands.

Our organisation is dedicated to continuing to aid widows in Africa. However we can, in fact, we are currently organising and planning a fundraiser to provide food for our widows in Africa throughout the Christmas period. This time of year can be particularly difficult for our widows, having lost a loved one during a period that is often dedicated to the family. Any additional help we can provide goes a long way to not only improving the quality of their lives but to creating and maintaining a sense of community and connection.
