Fruit Business
Rose is a lovely woman we met in her hometown of Kenya, Africa. Rose was widowed for a while before reaching out to The Widows Empowerment Imitative for Africa with 5 children to care for all by herself. Before contacting us, Rose worked for a laundry company for a mere $2 a day only making up to $8 a month to supply for her and her 5 children including bills, school fees, food, and drink. This was very clearly hard and unbearable for Rose, and she knew she needed support and empowering during these tough times of poverty. We did everything we could to get Rose controlling her own business and being able to support herself. We supplied her with fruit and veg to open a market stall and build up for herself. Later in the year we checked back on Rose to make sure everything was okay, and she has proved that she has made an amazing improvement and can empower herself and her children with her own company.
